Apple Pie

Apple Pie a la Mode is a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dessert!

Ingredients:
2 frozen pie crusts; defrosted to room temperature
6 cups Baking Apples; peeled and sliced
3/4 to 1 cup Sugar
2 Tbsp. Flour
3/4 tsp Cinnamon or Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine

Directions:
1. Preheat oven according to pie crust directions. In a large mixing bowl combine pie ingredients. Roll out pie crust and lay in a 9-inch pie dish. Pour apple pie filling into the pie dish. Roll out the second pie crust and lay on top of the apple filling. Cut four slits in the top crust with a knife. Bake according to package directions; approximately 40-45 minutes.

2. Let cool and serve a la mode with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Serves: 8-10
